The solution of timber-to-concrete composite (TCC) floors represents a well-established construction technique, which is consistently used for both the retrofitting existing timber and realization new diaphragms. success TCC relies on intrinsic effectiveness in increasing in-plane (for lateral loads) out-of-plane gravity performance floors. As widespread retrofit intervention, it common to use floorboards as permanent formwork concrete pouring.
